Human-Centred AI
What Human-Centred AI Really Means for Your Organisation
6 min read · February 10, 2026
Many organisations describe their AI initiatives as "human-centred" without a clear definition of what that means in practice. For leadership teams, this ambiguity can lead to well-intentioned projects that still create resistance, confusion or mistrust among employees.
A genuinely human-centred approach to AI starts with purpose, not technology. Before any tool is selected, leadership should be able to answer three questions: what should AI do for the organisation, how should people work alongside it, and how will success be measured in terms that matter to employees and customers, not only to the balance sheet.
In our work with clients, the organisations that adopt AI most successfully are rarely the ones with the most advanced technology. They are the ones that involve employees early, communicate honestly about how roles will change, and invest as much in training and change management as they do in software.
Human-centred AI, done well, becomes a leadership capability rather than a one-off project—continuously revisited as the organisation, its people and its technology evolve together.
